- Description
- The biopsychosocial model posits that early life factors may influence the later development of psychosocial factors and physiological dysfunction increasing susceptibility to FGIDs, but this has never been studied prospectively. We aimed to test an a priori model of a cyclical relationship between affective disorders and gastrointestinal symptoms with input from personality and childhood abuse.
